I'm a Kansas City-based business professional. As an attorney, I love to communicate persuasively and with precision. I have over eight years' experience in management and communications. My specialty is finding creative, out-of-the-box solutions for my company and clients. I love learning new things and don't believe in saying "I can't."
Shamberg Scholar (full tuition and stipend); Jessup Moot Court; Negotiation Team; Client Counseling Team.
Completed mediation practicum at a community conflict resolution organization in inner city St. Louis.
2009 Truman Scholar Nominee; Model U.N.; Honors Academy.
In my free time, I love designing functional and beautiful webpages for friends and causes I believe in. My most recent client was Backstoppers, a St. Louis based organization that assists the families of fallen first responders.
Before attending law school, I worked in PR and was responsible for designing the collateral and social media graphics for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office. To keep my creative side alive during law school, I did freelance graphic design work. My favorite project was designing the winning logo for the Parkville Microbrew Festival!
I've been coordinating the homecoming celebrations at KCI airport for Heartland Honor Flight for 3+ years now! We typically have between 1,000-2,000 people at each homecoming, which is a surprise for all the vets returning home from their Honor Flight. I love utilizing my PR background to help get a big turnout to welcome each flight of WWII heroes home.
One of my passions is politics, and I can't stay away. Whether it's consulting on a candidate or issue campaign, writing my own legislation, or directing advocacy efforts for organizations, there's nothing more exciting than making a difference.
Anyone who follows me on social media knows that my rescue English Bulldog, Truman, is one of my favorite pals. We stay active with the English Bulldog Rescue and I enjoy donating my time and skills to raising money for the bullies. Recently, I designed a calendar featuring our alumni and their stories that we sold as a fundraiser!
